Aiden Wilson Tozer (1897 – 1963) was an American Christian pastor, author and magazine editor. He served as pastor of Christian & Missionary Alliance churches in Chicago and Toronto, and was a popular speaker. Among the more than 60 books that bear his name, most were compiled after his death from sermons and articles he wrote. Many of his books impress on the reader the possibility and necessity for a deeper relationship with God.
Quotes by A. W. Tozer…
The moment we make up our mind, that we are going on with this determination to exact God over all, we step out of the world’s parade. We shall find ourself out of adjustment to the ways of the world, and increasingly so as we make progress in The Holy Way. We shall acquire a new viewpoint; a new and different psychology will be formed within us; a new power will begin to surprise us by its upsurging and its outgoing.
Everyone of us has had experiences which we have not been able to explain: A sudden sense of loneliness, or a feeling of wonder or awe in the face of the universal vastness. Or we have had a fleeting visitation of light like an illumination from some other sun, giving us in a quick flash an assurance that we are from another world, that our origins are divine.
