When we look at the world around us, and wish it could be different, we must remember this very important truth: the world is the way it is because we are the way we are. There is great hope in knowing this, because through self-understanding, each of us, as individuals, can change. And as the being of each individual is elevated, the level of the world is elevated as well.
The purpose of the OneJourney project is to awaken all of us to our universal potential for connection to and expression of a higher order of being. As OneJourney Founder Guy Finley explains, it all begins with self-knowledge:
Whoever doesn’t know himself, suffers unwillingly for the sake of ignorance. Whoever works to know himself, agrees to suffer for the sake of Wisdom. Whoever becomes Wise, slays the suffering born of ignorance. And whoever transcends the suffering born of ignorance shares in the birth and burden of creation, in which can be found no greater peace or joy.
Our primary responsibility is to undergo a self-transformation, and that in turn can transform the planet for us all.

P.S. Last month we asked you to indicate which of the quotes in the Living Book on “love” were your favorites. The results are in, and here are the top three quotes on “love” on the OneJourney site:
“As you express unconditional love, you become more than you previously perceived yourself to be. You become illumined, the full manifestation of your divinity.”
— Mayan
“My friends, how desperately do we need to be loved and to love. Love is something you and I must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look out confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy ourselves. With it we are creating. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others.”
— Chief Dan George
“The Love, Lover, and Beloved are one!”
— Sufi Saying
