At this time of year you really can feel the change of the season. The coolness of the morning, the way the light hits the mountains, the leaves beginning to turn — it all testifies that summer is over and autumn has begun. However, as the season changes to Autumn here in the northern hemisphere, spring is starting in the southern hemisphere. And in six months, it will be reversed.
We all experience the same thing, but in a different timeframe. On the surface our lives appear different because we don’t experience the same thing at the same time, but at our core, we share the same human experience.
Day to day our lives vary, but looked at from the broader view, we all know the passing of winter, the coming of spring, and all the expectations and emotions that grace each season. And we all know the wonder of childhood, the concerns of adulthood, and the love and loss that accompany every age and stage of life.
Clearly there is a common golden thread that runs through every one of us. Here are some timeless quotes that remind us of this fact:
